Soooooo let me tell you about my weekend.
I went CAMPING! Well it wasn’t real camping (like in a tent in the woods – which I LOVE doing), we were in air conditioned cabin, still rustic, but it was fun nevertheless. Considering the age range of those of us at the campground went from about 18 months to 82 yrs. old. Yes you read that correctly. I went with most of my family so there were lots of story telling and laughter – well until Sunday when Tropical Storm Beryl barreled through and rained us out. On the plus side, I got a little writing done 🙂
Of course it wasn’t all fun, the radiator in my car busted on the way to the campground so (Thank the GARMIN GPS Gods) I had to find a auto parts dealership and dip into my iPad fund (LOL) to buy a new one so my dad and uncle could put it in.
That evening we had a volleyball tournament – we split into two teams of varying ages which included my dad and uncle who are both in their 60s to my cousin who is 15 – my team won one and lost one – it was loads of fun.
Then yesterday, my oldest nephew graduated high school – So proud of him. So I’ve been on the run for the last few days – I have to admit that being back at the day job is really relaxing.
Now life is going to go back to normal – this April/May has been crazy from the very start – between communions, confirmations, birthdays, graduations and releases I have been on the run. Now I can finally relax and get into a writing groove – hoping to do about 2k a day until book 3 is done – and of course editing the contemporary.
Did I say I would be relaxing?? Ha!

I’m still riding a high off my new release and the print release of my books. Thanks again to everyone who has purchased them in this last week, I really appreciate it and I hope you enjoyed them!
Memorial Day weekend is upon us here in the US, it’s the unofficial start to the summer season and everyone is gearing up for the beach and barbecues this long weekend. Me, I’m going CAMPING – with about 15 – 20 of my family members – we’re a close lot and I think the age range is something from 83 to 17 months LOL. I love camping, although we’re not exactly roughing it. It should be fun.
I plan on taking the next few days to relax and let the muse go free as I finalize what I want to do for book 3 in the Dark Wolf Series. I’m hoping being around the woods and nature will inspire me. I can’t wait to start writing regularly again. I’ve made a promise to not take a year between books and I plan on keeping it.
I’m also neck deep – well maybe not neck deep since I’m still fairly early into it, maybe knee deep – in editing my contemporary. I hope to have that ready for submission by mid-summer.
So just a few of the things I’m working on. Hope you all in the US have a FANTASTIC holiday weekend and for those outside the US, I hope you have a fantastic few days as well!

You would think this being my second new novel and my third release day (if you count the print version of DMR coming out as a release day) that I wouldn’t be as nervous and excited as the first time – excited maybe, but nervous?
Well nerves and excitement are both here full force. I love writing and being able to share my stories with everyone, it’s a real pleasure. I wish I could say I was doing something really exotic or relaxing, but the truth is, I’m at my day job and though it’s a fantastic place to be, the beach or poolside it’s not LOL.
But the truth is, if I have to spend the day working, this is one of the best places I could be. The only place better would be back home with my best friends.
In honor of release day I made cupcakes for my office …
Werewolf cupcakes! The ears came out slightly wonky making them look more like bears but I say they’re wolves LOL.
I’m still thinking on what to do to celebrate release day, but be sure to watch my facebook page and twitter to see what I come up with.

Okay so I know I promised a rundown of RT, but I’ve been neck-deep in final line edits for BTBM so I haven’t had a chance. However, I promise to get that done ASAP (probably tonight for posting tomorrow).
Sooooo good news is, I think I’m really done with edits. It’s funny but no matter how many times you go through your MS you still manage to find tiny mistakes. Thank goodness for good great editors! Next on tap is getting my trailer all set (woot once again with the FANTABULOUS Circle of Seven Productions) then just waiting the 2 weeks until the book is released (GAH)
Just wanted to post a little update saying I was back home and will be blogging about the convention within the next day or so 🙂
When I write I like to keep a file or two on who I imagine my characters would look similar to. I would keep them on a file on my harddrive, in a binder AND on dropbox LOL – yes I like to save various places because I’ve lost lots of things due to falty equipment.
Now with Pinterest, I am able to share my vision with anyone who cares to see it. It’s a fun way to give a little insight into my head.
